Meet the team – Simon

To make sure that you get to know the team behind our Employee Attendance system, we’ve interviewed them all, so you don’t have to.

Our aim is that if you’re an existing customer, or someone simply thinking about reaching out – you’ll feel more confident about doing so.

I mean, when you know someone’s favourite place in the world, asking for a quote isn’t that tough.

How long have you been at Chronologic?

5 years!

What is your favourite part of your job?

We are helping businesses solve problems and improve processes.

So many have been let down by their existing system functionality and a lack of support from their supplier.

When our system can solve these issues, it is immensely satisfying.

What is the main thing customers love about Employee Attendance Cloud?

Quite simply – it works! We also practice a “no hard-sell” approach and act in partnership with our prospective and current customers, rather than trying to batter them into submission. Customers like this approach a lot.

And, of course, our ongoing support is well known by our Customers as being both helpful and professional. If you need help, the team is there to assist you.

What do you like about Employee Attendance Cloud?

It’s easy to access wherever you are. There’s an App for Employees to see their shift times, view their Timesheet hours and request and manage Holiday. This gives them great visibility and cuts everybody’s time spent on Holiday management and Payroll queries.

Managers and Administrators have more time to focus on their key responsibilities as so much is automated by the System. And, Payroll is accurate and can be uploaded straight into most Payroll Systems in just a few clicks.

There are even alerts for Management staff when someone is late, doesn’t show or has strayed from their scheduled shift times.

When prospective customers talk through their needs with us, it’s good to know that we have the tools to satisfy them and a competent team behind us that will deliver the System and support them throughout the life of the relationship.

When you’re not at work, what are your hobbies?

I have enjoyed travelling and still like to visit new places, both at home and abroad.

I’ve been lucky enough to work in many different parts of the world, and be able to gain a perspective of other cultures and business practices. I now spend a lot more of my time travelling to see family at weekends and exercising our mutt (15 years old now and still acts like a puppy!).

Apart from Chronologic, where’s your favourite place in the world?

I like Istanbul. It has a wide range of peoples, the Mediterranean and Bosphorus offer endless opportunities to go on the water there, and some of the islands are beautiful. It’s the only capital city that spans 2 continents. Everyone is welcoming and polite there.

What’s something that you think customers should know about Employee Attendance Cloud?

It’s comprehensive in what it can do, but simple to use.

Take, for instance, the Payroll process. In Employee Attendance Cloud, all of the shift, overtime, breaks, rounding’s, and other business rules are applied automatically. So, when it comes to running Payroll, a simple report is run, and the data is ready for import into your Payroll System or can be sent to the Payroll Provider.

All the checking, amendments, approvals, and manual Payroll input is taken care of earlier in the process, so you have correct data when you need it.

What’s the best thing about Employee Attendance Cloud?

Our process. There is a clear path from initial enquiry through to System implementation that ensures supports the customer at every stage.

We don’t deliver disappointment. This is a comment supported by the exceptional feedback we receive from our customers. The Team at Chronologic has many years of experience in providing, training and supporting our customer’s systems and it’s good to be a part of a team that both cares and delivers.

I believe this honesty reflects throughout the ethos of our business.

How do you think Employee Attendance Cloud will work in a post-COVID future?

Firstly, we have options to log, report and track the issue and expiry of Employees PPE, plus their training, certification and other HR and H&S matters. This all fits in well with the developing business requirements and responsibilities as we go through the Covid pandemic

Also, one of the benefits of Employee Attendance Cloud is the fact that it’s truly mobile for staff and management. Employees can even clock using the App when they have no signal as the clocking data, and their clocking location, will be transmitted to the System when they next have a signal and are logged in. So, it’s great for those Employees, and Managers, who work from home, or away from the office and you’ll always know where the Employees were when they clocked.
